Patrick A. Bartel, Ph.D. operates a private practice in Vancouver and provides therapy and assessments to people with a variety of mental health concerns. He also specializes in forensic clinical psychology. He is a Senior Psychologist at Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services of British Columbia where he conducts court-ordered assessments with adolescent offenders and is responsible for program development and evaluation. Dr. Bartel has developed expertise in the area of assessment and management of risk for violence and sexual violence with children and adolescents. He is actively involved in applied clinical research, has presented workshops and papers at numerous international conferences and provides training to mental health and correctional professionals. He has both consulted and conducted risk/threat assessments for several school districts.
