How do I find a psychologist or psychological associate?

The BC Psychological Association offers a free referral service so you can find someone to help with your concern. Both individuals and organizations can call

1-800-730-0522 (or 730-0522 in the Lower Mainland)

and speak to an operator. She or he will give you the names of two Registered Psychologists who work with problems like yours and who have practices in your community. You can then call each of these psychologists and choose the one that you feel is the best for you.

All referrals are to individuals who are registered by the College of Psychologists of British Columbia and are members of the BCPA.

Psychologists are committed to helping you improve your well-being and deal with problems effectively.

You may also find a psychologist by asking your family physician or consulting the yellow pages under "Psychologists."
