Retired Affiliate

To become a Retired Affiliate of the BC Psychological Association, you must attest to have been registered in good standing with a provincial or state regulatory body previous to your retirement.

Previous BCPA members who have not renewed their registration with the College of Psychologists of BC would be able to be part of the Association under this affiliation category. However, please keep in mind that affiliate status with BCPA confers no capacity to refer to yourself as a psychologist.

BCPA affiliation does not follow the calendar year; instead, your affiliation goes from September 1st of one year to August 31st of the next one. For example, if you join BCPA as a Retired Affiliate on August 30, 2009, you will be an affiliate of the Association from September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2010. If this sounds a little confusing, do not worry – we will mail out renewal forms and information well in advance of the end of the affiliation year, and you will be reminded of all deadlines at that time.

The easiest way to renew is, of course, through your online dashboard, which you can access after logging in by going under myBCPA.
