Tina is a clinical psychologist (CPBC #1373) in Victoria and is the founder of Tina Leist & Associates. Tina has been counselling for over 20 years in this private practice setting. She is professional and knowledgeable, yet down-to-earth and offers insightful, practical strategies and perspectives to assist people. Her collaborative and personable nature has been helpful for many people that have come to her to address their stress levels, anxiety, confusion with decisions, occupational concerns, overwhelm, lack of direction in life, depression, rumination and busy mind, intrusive thoughts, relationship challenges, health concerns, difficult family dynamics, grief, and more. Tina has worked extensively with individuals of all ages, couples, families, and groups. Her goal is to help people develop useful tools and healthy perspectives, learn effective communication strategies and have more confidence, personal skill and self-compassion. Tina has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Victoria (UVic) and has training in Neuropsychology from UVic and earned a Master’s of Science degree in Human Neuropsychology. She continues her interest in understanding the brain as it relates to helping people grow and learn, calming the stress/panic response, understanding the neurobiology of trauma, as well as utilizing a Mindfulness-Based approach to life’s situations.
