Topic: Assessing for Entitlements

This discussion is intended to review assessment practices as related to establishing entitlements, and their relationship to the Code of Conduct for BC or to any suggested changes in the Code.

What are some Standards of Practice that can guard against assessment issues which potentially weaken our credibility as psychologists, impose unfairness on the system, and impact the taxpayer? These questions will be explored throughout this Ethics Salon.

Readings to complete prior to the Ethics Salon:

Restrictions: Attendance is restricted to registrants of the College of Psychologists of BC.

About the Ethics Salons

  • Free Parking is available.
  • The Salon is an informed discussion of ideas, theories, dilemmas, and ways to evolve and become more mindful in the pursuit of an ethical practice of psychology. The setting is informal, with guided discussion from the facilitator.
  • The facilitator will select the articles for each Salon, as well as a list of potential discussion questions.
  • Salon registrants will not be receiving a Continuing Education certificate from the BCPA office after registering for and attending the Ethics Salons. You may keep track and submit your hours to the College for credit.
