BCPA Student Awards

Every year, BCPA grants the British Columbia Psychological Association Graduate Medal in Psychology to four students. This medal, gift of the British Columbia Psychological Association, is offered for outstanding achievement of a Master’s or Doctoral student in the study of psychology. It is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Psychology in conjunction with the Department of Graduate Studies.

Four universities are currently involved in the nomination program (Simon Fraser University, University of British Columbia, University of Victoria, and University of Northern British Columbia). Nominations are sent in to BCPA every year before the BCPA Awards ceremony. Award recipients are presented with a certificate of excellence and a medal.

Please be aware that each university’s Faculty of Graduate Studies, in accordance with the policies and procedures of each university for student awards, will administer this award in consultation with the Department of Psychology.
