Suicide tenth leading cause of death in Canada, second among young adults

Statistics Canada recently released a report on the leading causes of death in Canada. While the vast majority of deaths are due to cancer and cardiovascular disease, suicide also appears to be a leading cause of death, especially in youth. In fact, Stats Canada reports that "among young adults aged 15 to 34, accidents and suicide ranked first and second respectively, a trend observed since 2000".
